Website status checker
Enter a URL and PulseWatch performs a real server-side HTTP request right now — no account needed. You get the live up/down verdict, HTTP status code and response time.
- Real request, no simulated results
- One-off checks are never stored
- Internal and private addresses blocked
Uptime & latency history
Every check is stored so you can see trends, not just this moment.
Down & recovery alerts
Email the moment an endpoint fails your threshold, and again when it recovers.
Certificate expiry
HTTPS monitors track certificate expiry and issuer where the runtime allows it.
How the status check works
PulseWatch sends a single GET request from its servers to the URL you enter and records the HTTP status code and round-trip time. A site counts as up when it answers with a 2xx or 3xx status. One-off checks are not stored — only monitors in your dashboard keep history.
Why a site can look down
- DNS does not resolve, or the certificate is invalid or expired.
- The server returns a 4xx or 5xx error, or times out after 10 seconds.
- A firewall or bot filter blocks automated requests from data-centre IPs.
- Only some regions are affected — continuous monitoring reveals the pattern.
